- Bitmine Immersion’s Tom Lee moves 12x faster than Strategy’s Michael Saylor.
- The only difference is that he is buying Ethereum over Bitcoin.
- ETH price is set to hit new ATH prices soon.
The Ethereum (ETH) accumulation race in the institutional stage is just as intense as the BTC accumulation race in the global government scale. At the moment several financial institutions have been heavily accumulating ETH before the asset hits $4,000. At the moment Bitmine Immersion and Tom Lee moves 12x faster than Michael Saylor, except he is buying Ethereum over Bitcoin.
Tom Lee Moves 12 Faster Than Micahel Saylor
BTC accumulation began in the last bull cycle when President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, made Bitcoin (BTC) a legal tender. Soon after, the country began to heavily accumulate BTC and continues to do so to this day. Similarly, on an institutional level, Michael Saylor and Strategy began to accumulate BTC heavily as well, leading in its sector for holding a large number of bTC, and continue to increase this number with steady BTC buy-ins.
This bull cycle, more institutions and countries are steadily entering the race. At the moment, institutions like BlackRock and Fidelity have been increasingly buying both ETH and BTC to meet their growing ETF demands. Meanwhile, countries too have been entering the race, with Indonesia being the most recent nation to consider holding BTC as a Strategic National Reserve. While BTC seems to be the asset to hold for countries, institutions are turning towards ETH.
Presently, as the bull cycle rages on, institutions have been seen to be steadily shifting strategies to hold more BTC over ETH, with some entities fully swapping to holding only ETH. This is likely due to the fact that BTC has already pumped this bull cycle while ETH has yet to reclaim its previous ATH price. This means that the pump potential for ETH is a lot stronger than BTC going ahead.
Lee Bets on ETH Over BTC
Tom Lee, the Chair of Bitmine Immersion, the entity that holds a total of $2.9 billion ETH and is the top ETH accumulator at the moment, is betting heavily on ETH. In fact, Lee is moving 12x faster than Micahel Saylor has moved with BTC. Furthermore, the post above states that Tom Lee is serious about accumulating about 5% of all ETH by sometime in 2026, meaning he expects to hold 6 million ETH, which would mean $20 billion worth of ETH based on current prices.
The analyst in the post concludes that Lee is buying ETH as fast as possible before ETH moves towards a peak ATH price of $10,000, as he believes ETH still has the potential to 100x, and could flip BTC. The analyst says he’s right on the latter, where ETH’s total market cap could hit $40 trillion. He also predicted that the price of ETH will hit $15,000 by the end of this year, and expects even greater ATH prices going ahead.
