CIO of Bitwise Invest notices huge changes coming for the crypto market and believes that they will all be for the best. In detail, Matt Hougan goes on to list a few crucial announcements and market movements happening on a global scale that could lead to monumental changes and parabolic price pump for the crypto market in the coming weeks ahead.

CIO of Bitwise Invest Notices Huge Changes Coming

Matt Hougan, the CIO of Bitwise Invest, comments on an announcement about a pro-crypto move by France. In detail, France announced that it has tabled a bill to buy up to 420,000 Bitcoin (BTC), amounting to a total of 2% of the overall BTC supply. This announcement proves that BTC demand is growing stronger every day, likely leading to a global Bitcoin race as Binance Founder CZ predicted.

Hougan then goes on to highlight a few other factors and announcements that the market may be underestimating. The first is the likelihood that sovereigns buy Bitcoin in size over the next few years, while the second is the likelihood that the US passes the Clarity Act in late 2025 or early 2026. Next, he mentions the speed at which tokenization and stablecoins are set to grow.

Lastly, he mentions the fact that the ‘debasement trade’ will become significantly more popular, not less, in 2026. On this, one response agrees, stating that most still see sovereign Bitcoin buying as a headline moment, but it likely won’t come that way. The response says that it will rather start quietly, through balance-sheet hedges, central-bank partnerships, and wealth-fund exposure hidden under ‘strategic reserves’.

The Crypto Market Will See Changes for the Better

Another response states that crypto and blockchain innovation is expanding at a blistering pace that eclipses the early internet’s growth trajectory, with global crypto user numbers surging from around 5 million in 2016 to over 550 million by 2025, an average annual growth rate exceeding 100% compared to the internet’s 63% compound annual growth rate as users climbed from 39 million in 1995 to 361 million in 2000.

Thus, when Sovereign Bitcoin purchases are certainly the ‘green’ swan event, if one major nation moves, it’s a domino effect, concludes another response to the post. The speed of that adoption is the only real question mark, not the eventual if. France may be making headlines today, but soon it would lead to a global accumulation race with every country trying to secure the lead.
